DCR Radio is opening the door for DJs and program hosts who want more than a playlist. Create a show, introduce rising artists, play your own music, interview guests, promote upcoming episodes, and build an audience inside a station designed around discovery.
The DCR DJ program gives selected hosts room to create a real radio identity while keeping programming manageable for a growing independent network.
Selected DJs can receive one-time or recurring live time slots. DCR controls the final schedule and can adjust slots as station programming develops.
If you own and control the necessary rights, your original songs, beats, drops, mixes, and show elements can become part of your program.
DJs can build shows around music already approved and directly licensed to DCR by independent artists in the DCR ecosystem.
DCR can feature show announcements, schedules, approved interview/talk clips, guest information, behind-the-scenes content, and upcoming episode promotions across station channels. The DJ Agreement includes a written media release and rules that keep third-party music out of social clips unless it is separately cleared.
Host artist conversations, release interviews, themed discussions, countdowns, community segments, and other approved programming.
Your air name, approved photo, show name, social links, and program identity can be promoted as part of the DCR schedule.
At launch, DCR DJ programming is built around music we can legally use without relying on a traditional mainstream music license. “Royalty-free” is only accepted when the actual license covers internet radio/webcasting and the intended use.
DJs can work from these categories once DCR has the necessary rights information on file.
Technical ability to play something does not equal permission to broadcast it.
DCR’s DJ program is designed around Radio.co’s actual live-DJ workflow rather than promising tools the platform does not provide.
DCR can invite approved hosts into the station with an appropriate DJ or Guest DJ role, schedule a live event for the assigned time window, and provide a backup playlist if the host cannot connect. DJs can broadcast through Radio.co Live in a supported browser or approved external DJ/broadcast software.
